| Tim Cook & Steve Jobs |
Steve Jobs the long standing CEO of Apple has resigned today. So how will this be covered, what are the angles.
The obvious of who will take over, this we already know, Tim Cook and lots about Cook's background. Steve Jobs' health issues will be further investigated, his contributions to Apple and what will be the affect of the resignation and subsequent appointment choice on Apple shares. Already there is comments that Cook, whilst a longstanding member of the company, may lack Jobs' vision. How will the market react to this? Why is it important?
This could not or should not have been unforeseen by Apple and clearly Cook has been mentored therefore the PR should be in full-swing, another aspect that will be interesting to watch and see how it is analysed and projected in the news.
Twitter is all afire on this one which will no doubt be reflected in the coming news coverage .
And so it begins...
